18+, 21+, whatever, I think it's stupid. I went to one 18+ show just to see Code Of The West, other than that, no support whatsoever. I mean, I don't drink at all, and I know it's the law for me not to be in there, but still, it's pretty damn lame. I just wanna see some music and I can't because of my age. I really wanna see Captured By Robots, but I can't, and I'm PO'd. Anybody Agree?

yeah. i'm 19, and i still can't go to 21+ shows. 18+ is pointless, it should just be all ages because the same rules apply basically. i've wanted to see many bands over the past 3-4 years and haven't been able to because of 21+. (pansy division especially) i think that once people turn 21 they don't give a fuck about this anymore which is why there are still so many 21+ shows. when i'm 21, i'll definitely remember how i felt not being able to see bands because of my age.

I dont think this is true at all me and chris moore still do only all ages shows. The only reason that those shows happen at 21+ venues is because chris hennen does not have a PA and he doesnt have too worry about paying a place off and he usually has to deal with some sort of guarantee. Also a lot of these shows will do better at a bar rather than all ages. Dan

I can understand why people do 21+ shows, because it does seem to be easier and cheaper, but what I dont get is why then are some shows all ages at the Great Northern and some 21+? Why can't they just all be all ages. If someone doesnt drink they are not going to drink to begin with, and plus people who are underage can't drink if they are carded and the bartender does their job everything will be fine. I am not 21 though so I do not know entirely how this works. There has been a lot of bands though I have really wanted to see, but couldnt and cant because I am not 21 and that just sucks. I am thankful I get to see Captured by Robots because we are playing it, but there are others who are not so lucky. I understand though everyone has had to deal with not being 21, but still there has to be easier ways around this it seems.

first off if there were people under 21 in the bar people would not be able to smoke which would piss a lot of people off. Also there is too much of a liability to have minors and drinking in the same room, it is the reason why scott wont let me have a bar during all ages shows. There is just too much risk. Although most of you guys do not drink a lot of kids do and they will figure out a way to drink and if they get caught the bar will be blamed.

Danny I totally agree with this, It just sucks, lol. I don't want people getting in trouble, but it just sucks ass that I can't watch music.

Haha, yeah. That makes sense. It does suck though. I really want to see Wolf Parade, but sadly that is 21+ too. Dammit. I guess we'll just have to wait. Oh well, after November 29th I will only have one more year to go.

all the bands I like tend to be bands younger kids like. I've only been to like 2 21+ shows and neither of them were any better or worse than more all ages. but in a lot of ways it's like doing the show at the mall or something because they people would be their wether or not the band is playing.
Some states allow both drinking on non drinkers at shows like if you get a wrist band or something. but kids who want to drink will wether they're 16, or 25 they'll find away. How many underage people were drunk at the show on the 23rd?
I just go to see the bands, i'll probably never do a 21+ show but I don't hate them or anything
