Need some booking advice, I've been out of the game for about year (lamer). I'm booking a show for the Moment on June 24th which was supposed to be at the Aquarium, but they now backed out. So I need a venue, I know the Raven is supposedly not booking anything but weekend shows for the loudness, or do they make exceptions? The only fall back venue I can think of is the All-Star, but I have no clue how much it runs or who to contact. Thoughts/opinions/comments/help appreciated!

Shit, I thought All-star came with sound for that, I had the Aquarium for that with sound and a better venue, but the touring band that is playing that night for the 21+ show needed an earlier sound check, so they had to cancel. I was hoping for All ages, but I had to book them a 21+ show last time too. Rascals in Moorhead? Whats the deal with them, I don't know much about them.

rascals is a HUGE bar out in north moorhead. The stage is sizeable, nothing huge, but not small. The sound is alright if you give the guy time. I'm not sure what it costs though

nobody goes to rascals, rightfully so because it fucking sucks. the only good thing about it was one of the cool bartenders, and she works at the aquarium now.

I was gonna say, I've never been there, but I never hear much about it besides a few more pushed shows that still didn't convince me to drive to north Moorhead. Not to say this goes for everyone, but I like to use the assumption that if a venue has never convinced me to go to a show there, there is probably another percentage of the population that probably feel the same, so it may not be the best of choices. I have played or booked pretty much other place in town, and mid-town/broadway area shows always seem to do the best.
