I dont respect their band, but I do respect what they are doing. they are helping to put the Fargo Moorhead music scene on the national and regional map my point is that the whole respect thing is bullshit. it's kind of funny that you hate 99% of people but still 'respect' them. and as far as putting f/m on a national/regional map, i'd say they are doing a bad thing for it. do you want people to think of a band like midnight suit when they think of f/m music? Yeah but that is all personal preference, say for instance I dont like Gumbi's music why would I want them being a representative for the fargo music scene. I do like Gumbi and i am glad they are touring. Hell there could be a thread exactly like this about them from people that dont like their music. Gumbi dudes i dont hate you just using you as an example. By the way when did asshole become the new cool. The main point about this is who the fuck cares what midnight suit does. I doesnt concern any of you. They do what they do and it affect any of you in your daily lives. Sorry, its been a long day.

p.s.
I'm sorry that I'm not punk rock enough to dislike someone because of what they believe in, because personal beliefs is what divides friendship completely, right?

Yeah but that is all personal preference yeah, and it is the personal preference of almost everyone in this thread because they've all been saying the music sucks.

I'm sorry that I'm not punk rock enough to dislike someone because of what they believe in, because personal beliefs is what divides friendship completely, right? i'm sorry too. but i'd say personal beliefs is a pretty good judge of whether or not you're compatible with another person. but i guess we can all just put our differences aside and learn to respect one another. no thanks, that's some hippie bullshit.

i know the dudes in midnight suit. i lived with one of them for a year. they used to stay at my house when they came through mpls. i will agree that they are cool, but that doesn't mean i'm going to respect their band. like i've said before, a lot of people have this idea that even if a band sucks they should still be respected, and i say no fucking way. who cares if they are cool, do you know how many 'cool' people are in shitty bands? who cares if they tour? anyone can book a tour now if they have a myspace with some demo tracks on it. i think a lot of you are afraid of people not liking your own bands, so you don't want to step on anyone's toes. i'm sure they'll be a retort of 'i don't care who doesn't like my band,' but it really seems like most of you are just trying to be friends with everyone, regardless of what they stand for. I believe you still have your head up your ass shitbag. Ive never cared if anyone ever liked any thing musical that i've done. Its my music, and I play it for me. Its mine. If someone happens to like it, great, but that doesn't change the way I go about writing anything. you said once that my band sucked, great. Im enthused that you have that opinion. I will tell you that you are wrong, because the 4 musicians I just got done working with are some of the most talented people this town has ever seen and will ever see for some time. they are the type of musician that inspire people to start a band. I doubt you can take any credit like that. Ive also never been one to mince my words and try to be friends with everyone. I dislike 99% of the people I come across, which probably isnt the best way to go about life BUT none the less, I dont care what you think, what anyone thinks for that matter about me myself and I because at the end of the day I know what kind of person I am. I dont kiss people's asses. never have never will. If your an asswhole, I will tell you. If you are a good person, I will tell you. I dont respect their band, but I do respect what they are doing. like I said before until you go on tour for an extended period of time STFU and GTFO. they are helping to put the Fargo Moorhead music scene on the national and regional map along side a NUMBER of other bands that are doing their part. what have you done for for the scene you are a part of in that aspect? last time i checked you cocksucker you havent done anything. so fuck you and your pre conceived notions about who the fuck i am or how the fuck i treat people. Too late dudes Johnny Lane already put us on the map. Also, I must agree with Matt in that personal beliefs really are a big factor in deciding whom you like and don't like. For instance, I don't hang out with racists, nazis, and I probably wouldnt hang out with people with overwhelmingly conservative view points because they'd get on my nerves.

To anyone that drinks: I can no longer be your friend because it goes against what I believe in, sorry.
AJ: I cannot be your friend anymore because you like alot of metal music, and I don't. Bye friend.
To all the Christians out there: Hey guys, sorry but we cannot be friends anymore, you believe and Jesus and I don't. See ya later.
I was friends with alot of people before all this other stuff came into play, and I'm not gonna let that get in the way.
Just because one person believes in something, doesn't mean you cannot relate with them on different levels.
I do agree with the racism though, but seriously, thats a different level of bullshit.
